The Allen family est. 1989
We're a zany collection of four children, 2 adults,  with an
assortment of interests including (but never limited to)
Japanese anime, Dungeons and Dragons,  writing,
computer/video gaming, animals, art, superheroes, gardening,
knitting, hiking, herbal medicine, vegetarianism, things that are
good to put in the mouth (get your mind out of the gutter, I'm
talking tea, chocolate and wine!), cultures/world religions,
philosophy, music and cosmetics.  Ren writes and speaks on the
topic of unschooling whenever and wherever possible.

Living life a bit outside of mainstream parameters has it's
benefits!  From sleeping and waking at odd hours to creating
income in unique methods, it's always an adventure.  We've
never had regrets about helping our children learn outside that
bizarre institution of school and they pursue learning with joy
and peace in their hearts.  Life isn't perfect, but it's sure
great!

In 2005 we moved to the beautiful Appalachian mountains in
Eastern Tennessee.  Prior to that, we spent many years in
Pensacola, soaking up sun and playing in surf and sand.
Collectively, we've lived in Hawaii, Alaska, Oregon, Washington
and California, but that was in a different life, before we were
a family.
"Live in the moment and make it so beautiful
that it will be worth remembering!"

Ren and Bleu:  Parental unit, hikers, travelers, and
wine lovers.  All other descriptions should be kept
separate, as similarities end there.   Bleu is an
audiophile and musician that finds it difficult to be
serious except when selling  houses or building
decks.  Ren has her very own page and therefore
gets no further description here.
